Happy New Week! April 14-17, 2015

Happy New Week Parents and Students! We had a wonderful Education Rally Day Celebration and we thank you for your support. This is a short week so we will be finishing up chapters and preparing for tests at the end of the week in Science, Spelling, and Bible.

Homework this week consists of reviewing the spelling words from the post on March 30, 2015, and finishing up Chapter 5, Lesson 3 in Science. We are discussing God's plans for families and will be reviewing some material concerning reproduction. If you would like to review the information your students are learning, please go over tonight's (April 14, 2015) homework with your child. Students will read through lesson 3 and define the vocabulary. At the end of the chapter, students must answer the questions on pg. 179. If students want to go ahead they may begin the review at the end of the chapter for Lessons 1-3 on pages 182-183. This review should be completed by Thursday in time to review in class for the Test on Friday/Monday. Students are on Lesson 15 in Bible class and have a memory verse due at the end of the week.

Happy New Week parents and students! This week we are conducting our standardized ITBS testing. There will be no homework pages sent; however, I have websites and activities for your students to practice with for test taking. Please give your students time to work on these websites each day and review throughout the week. Encourage your students to get plenty of rest, have a complete breakfast at home or school everyday, and think positively. Check out the following websites this week:

www.khanacademy.org--go to the menu for students and select math, language arts, and science.
www.vocabtest.com--choose your grade level and select all unit words. There are tests and games to do with the unit words as well as spelling practice.

Have a great week!
