Hi Everyone! I have just remembered to post the Art notes from last week and the spelling words for this week...So sorry!
5th and 6th grades, please pay close attention to the ar, air, and are parts of your spelling words. remember that ar uses the controlled r sound (says 'r') as in bargain or margin and are (e is silent) says /air/ as in compare, while air says /air/ as in hair, despair, etc.

7th and 8th Grade your words are still dealing with Latin roots. Pay special attention to the prefixes (front part of words that change the meaning of the root, suffixes (end part of the word that may change the meaning of the root) and the root. Remember what each root means and use it to help you remember the words meanings which may help with remembering how to spell them. Latin roots are: ject=throw, rupt=break, pend=hang, duc or duct=lead, flu=flow, tract=pull or draw.
